On Patreon, I posted a newsletter for February listing some ideas for what I want to accomplish for the month. Here is a breakdown of those goals and what has been completed already.
- Website Update: Changes were made to the creations page. I couldn't stand the mod boxes being uneven and looking mismatched. Now there is a nice cohesive flow to the page. I also included a link at the top to my Mod Update List/Mods Tracker. The current patch for Sims 4 was also updated. All package files were updated in
Google Driveas well, and folders were more organized. I updated a lot of the images on the website to help with loading time and also make the site more personal and obviously more Sims 4 related to not cause confusion. - Patreon Update: Changes were made to all image previews for the mods, newsletters, and updates. There is now a central look and theme that I like to allow for better cohesive flow. I also don't want to make it look all "corporate." I like scrapbook and infographic-style art, so I try to keep my imaging close to this look. I am also super chill, and I want my page to reflect that. Error is beauty, and rough edges are uniqueness.
- Mod Goals: Here are some of the met mod goals.
- All Mods Updated: All mods are confirmed working and updated with the February 3rd Sims 4 patch.
- Better Menu Collection: All menu sets now include 4 package files. Splash Screen, Loading Screen, Plumbob, and my Custom Main Menu Override. They are package themes for the entry screens and are simple to use and understand.
- Mod Goals Not Met Yet:
- Complete UI Overhaul: This will be a long, ongoing project. I am waiting until all major changes are made to the UI and some fixes are done before I even get started on this.
- CAS Backgrounds: I might put this one on hold. For the same reason as above. I want those changes more settled before I start this.
- Plumbob Overrides: Still my little side project. These don't take long to do if it is a recolor, but I am looking to replace the plumbob entirely with a flat static image. I have been having fun messing with all the settings for these as a small project.
- Goddess Themes: I recently released two new menu sets, so I am waiting a week or two more before dropping another one. I started with a purple set for this theme, and I am currently missing a nice blue menu set, so this might be my next color theme for my goddesses.
A project idea that came to me yesterday that I really want to work on is a trait pack. I had some ideas for the pack. I don't want to share just yet, but it for sure is more personal to me and my playstyle. It really blends well with my theme. I am going to be adding whims to the traits, and we will see what else. The goal is a starter set of 10 traits. Depending on how well they do, I might develop the packs further and also add special tuning for owned expansion packs. The starter set of 10 traits will be fully base game compatible. This will be my main focus this month, as I am really interested to see what I can do with it.
Another thing I started this month is my Discord server. I wanted a personal place to share my thoughts, mods, updates, post pictures, and chat... you know... Discord stuff lol. So everyone is welcome to join. I added a small perk to being a Patreon donator, like a special chat place and role, but it honestly isn't anything big right now. I did it for funzies. I keep my Discord up at all times when at my PC, so it's a good way to chat with me directly.
To test the waters, I also have listed a mod to CurseForge for ease of access, again without having to use Patreon. If it does well, then I will start adding more of my creations there too!
So, that's all I have so far for the first week of February! Hope to see you around!
Much Love
